Thales is another long term partner of AE with more than 17 years of relationship. Micha Huber is a technical genius in the domain of analog tonearm and cartridge. His simplicity tonearm is famous for its 'zero tracking error' and easy installation. Tracking ability is extremely precise until the very end of the last track of the vinyl, as though it is running on the first track. The sound is extremely detailed, with a very open top end. It was an immediate success when AE introduced Thales to Hong Kong/China many years ago. Lincoln Cheng, Chief Editor of Audio Technique, was immediately attracted to the technical mastery of Micha Huber and has been using the Simplicity 2 tonearm (including a few reviewers of Audio Technique) as his reference tonearm before subsequently switching to Micha's Statement tonearm. The arm delivers very controlled energy at the top end particularly on recordings with tremendous high-frequency energy such as soprano, and brass/wind instruments. This was a project brought up by Audio Exotics in 2016 in collaboration with Micha Huber. This was another immediate success.
